About the client
Our client is an established international logistics organisation providing specialised freight forwarding solutions to industrial customers across Asia and global markets. As part of the continued development of its activities in Southeast Asia, the company is looking for an experienced Project Logistics Manager to take overall responsibility for the development and performance of its local project logistics business as Team lead - Project Logistics.
About the role
This is a senior leadership position combining business development, product strategy, commercial management andoperational oversight. You will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the Project Logistics business in Vietnam, developing strategic customer relationships and building a sustainable pipeline of new projects. As the local expert for Project Logistics, you will work closely with customers as well as regional and international stakeholders to develop and deliver complex, tailor-made transportation solutions.
The position requires someone who understands both sides of the project logistics business: how to win complex projects commercially and how to ensure they can be successfully delivered operationally.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Customer Management
- Develop new business opportunities and expand relationships with existing Project Logistics customers.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline across relevant industrial sectors, EPCs and project owners.
- Lead customer discussions, major RFQs, tenders and commercial negotiations.
- Develop competitive logistics solutions and strengthen relationships with key customers, partners and suppliers.
Strategy & Business Growth
- Develop and execute the growth strategy and business plan for Project Logistics in Vietnam.
- Define priority industries, target customers and commercial opportunities.
- Take responsibility for agreed revenue, gross-profit and growth objectives.
- Monitor market developments and collaborate with regional and international teams on strategic opportunities
Project Logistics & Solution Development
- Gradually take on stronger customer-facing and commercial responsibilities, including business development, strategic account management, tender participation, and relationship building with key clients in the industrial and project cargo sector.

Operational Leadership
- Oversee major Project Logistics assignments and ensure efficient project execution.
- Work closely with local project management and operations teams to maintain quality, safety and profitability.
- Develop local capabilities through coaching, guidance and knowledge transfer.
- Drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with operational, safety and governance standards.
Your Profile & Experience
- Experienced Project Logistics professional who combines strong technical and operational knowledge with a proven commercial mindset.
- Strong operational understanding of complex international logistics projects.
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Proven experience in business development, solution sales and customer management.
- Good understanding of pricing, margins and the key profitability drivers within freight forwarding and project logistics.
- Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and hands-on personality.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English language skills are required.
- Willingness to relocate to Vietnam.
Additional Information
- Possible starting/ onboarding date: As soon as possible.
- Monthly basic gross salary: Up to USD 7.000,- (depending on work experience).
- Additional Bonus: 13th months salary + performance related bonus.
