For our European client, a global leader in advanced industrial solutions, we are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic sales professional with a strong technical background in electrical engineering to drive business development and customer engagement in Indonesia.

About the role

As part of a regional team, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing long-term client relationships, and delivering tailored technical solutions to customers.This is a hands-on role that requires both strategic planning and active sales execution in the field. This position is ideal for a results-driven individual who thrives on combining technical expertise with commercial acumen to deliver growth across key industries.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and grow a strong sales pipeline to achieve defined business targets.
  • Create and implement a robust business development plan, including partner recruitment to expand market coverage.
  • Provide regular reporting on project progress, competitor activity, market developments, and actionable intelligence.
  • Analyze technical specifications and project requirements to design and propose effective solutions.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of technologies, applications, regulatory trends, and market benchmarks relevant to electrical drive and motor solutions.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, offering technical consultancy, responsive support, and post-sales coordination.
  • Deliver product and technical presentations that clearly communicate value propositions to customers.
  • Influence and drive product specifications with key stakeholders including end users, OEMs, EPCs, consultants, and partners.
  • Participate in technical specification reviews, contract discussions, and project clarifications for major bids.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to partners, collaborating closely with product and channel managers.
  • Monitor margin levels, pricing structures, and discount frameworks to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
  • Support digital sales initiatives, ensuring accurate CRM reporting and effective use of sales tools.
  • Uphold the highest standards of compliance, ethical conduct, and company policy in all sales activities.

Requirements

Education & Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong technical foundation with proven expertise in motors and drive technologies, both electrically and mechanically.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and mechanical drawings is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes and project execution is valued.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales, business development, or project sales in industrial or engineering environments.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex project solutions or supply contracts for large electrical systems.
  • Proven track record of building customer relationships and managing diverse stakeholders across technical and commercial functions.

Personal Characteristics

  • Ambitious, results-oriented, and resilient with a strong drive to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to engage confidently with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance strategic planning and hands-on execution.
  • High integrity, strong work ethic, and a collaborative team player.

Additional Information

  • Reporting to: Division Head Sales ASEAN
  • Possible starting/ onboarding date: ASAP
  • Monthly basic gross salary (13 months): Negotiable (depending on work experience)
  • Additional performance-based bonus
