About the client

For our client, a multinational European corporation, we are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead business development and client acquisition activities in the rotating equipment sector for the Chemical & Energy industries across Indonesia. This role plays a key part in expanding their market presence and directly contributes to the company’s ongoing growth and success.

About the role

As a Sales Manager, you will take full ownership of the sales cycle — from identifying prospects to closing deals — while building long-term client partnerships and driving market expansion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide tailored solutions that meet complex customer needs within the industrial equipment landscape.

Responsibilities

Sales & Target Achievement

  • Present and promote compressor systems and rotating equipment to prospective and existing customers in the Chemical & Energy sectors
  • Conduct client visits, product presentations, solution demos, and technical discussions to support the sales process
  • Assess customer needs and propose customized technical solutions
  • Negotiate contract terms and commercial conditions aligned with internal guidelines
  • Consistently meet or exceed annual and quarterly sales targets
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as engineering, technical services, and cross-divisional sales teams to deliver end-to-end customer solutions
  • Maintain accurate sales activity records and update the CRM system on a weekly basis
  • Prepare and calculate client quotations

Market Strategy & Business Development

  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies to penetrate target industry segments
  • Analyze market dynamics and identify new business opportunities and prospective clients
  • Report insights to management regarding customer demands, competitor movements, and industry trends
  • Stay current with market developments, product innovations, and best practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by actively sharing new ideas

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients by delivering excellent service and technical expertise
  • Anticipate customer challenges and offer proactive solutions that foster loyalty and repeat business
  • Respond effectively to client issues and complaints to ensure high satisfaction and trust

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in cross-functional projects and support management on strategic initiatives as needed

Your Profile

  • Strong track record in industrial equipment sales, particularly within rotating equipment for chemical or energy-related applications
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Able to perform under pressure with a self-driven and goal-oriented mindset
  • High degree of responsibility, integrity, and professionalism
  • Collaborative, yet able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM tools is a plus
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Indonesia and occasionally abroad

Additional Information

  • Reporting to: Division Manager
  • Possible starting/ onboarding date: ASAP
  • Monthly basic gross salary: Up to IDR 30.000.000 (depending on work experience)
