About the client
For our client, a multinational European corporation, we are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to manage business development and client acquisition activities in the flexible Packaging sector across Indonesia. To support continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Sales Manager with a strong track record in selling capital equipment solutions to flexible packaging converters.
About the role
This role requires a commercially driven professional who understands the converting environment, is comfortable navigating long and complex sales cycles, and can take full ownership of opportunities—from early technical discussions through to contract closure. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to customers, combining technical credibility with strategic sales execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for capital equipment solutions within the flexible packaging converter segment.
- Manage the full salescycle, including:
- Early-stage technical and commercial discussions.
- Stakeholder mapping and decision-maker alignment.
- Proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships withconverters, brand owners (where relevant), and industry partners.
- Provide consultative sales support byunderstanding customer production workflows, challenges, and investment drivers.
- Collaborate closely with application, service, and technical teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunitieswhile managing and growing existing key accounts.
- Represent the company at industry events,trade shows, and customer demonstrations.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipelinemanagement, and CRM reporting.
Technology & Industry Focus
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on exposure and sales experience inone or more of the following areas:
- Rotogravure printing and lamination.
- Flexographic printing (CI or narrow web).
- Digitalprinting solutions for flexible packaging.
- Experience selling or supporting adjacentor supporting technologies is highly relevant, including:
- Solvent recovery units.
- Solvent distillation systems.
- Consumables and related components (e.g. anilox rollers).
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience selling capital equipment into flexible packaging converters.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in label and/ or digital printing Machinery industry.
- English (Full working proficiency – written and spoken, Bahasa (fluent or native level).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Strong preference for candidates from:
- OEMs.
- Established solution providers already serving the flexible packaging industry
- Solid understanding of converting processes, production environments, and operational constraints.
- Comfortable working independently with a high level of ownership and accountability.
- Readiness to travel frequently locally and overseas (occasionally).
Additional Information
- Reporting to: Division Manager.
- Possible starting/ onboarding date: As soon as possible.
- Monthly basic gross salary: Up to IDR 40.000.000 (depending on work experience).
