About the role
We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Sales Representative to join a leading provider of industrial machinery and systems in Indonesia. This is a unique opportunity for a technically-savvy professional with a strong commercial mindset to take the next step in their career.
If you have a background in capital equipment sales — ideally within packaging, printing, or engineered industrial systems — and enjoy building relationships that drive business growth, this role offers a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities
As part of a high-performing regional team, you will be responsible for growing the company’s market presence by identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing existing client accounts, and delivering technical solutions tailored to each customer's operational needs. Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively identifying and qualifying sales leads through cold calls, industry networking, and direct outreach
- Acting as the primary point of contact for customers — from initial engagement to solution recommendation and closing
- Presenting and promoting technical equipment solutions, with a focus on delivering value to the customer
- Developing and executing strategic sales plans for both complete systems and single-unit machinery as well as equipment, based on individual customer needs
- Managing the full sales cycle, including quotation follow-up, negotiation, and order finalization
- Maintaining close communication with clients to ensure long-term satisfaction and repeat business
- Coordinating internally with engineering, project management, and after-sales service teams to ensure seamless execution
- Monitoring customer feedback, industry trends, and competitor activity to refine sales approaches
- Keeping accurate records of all customer interactions, proposals, and sales progress in the CRM system
- Supporting after-sales efforts and assisting in resolving customer issues or claims
- Contributing to regular market reviews and reporting on sales activities and forecasts
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients, conduct product presentations, or support project milestones
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in capital equipment sales, technical project management, or solution selling, preferably within industrial machinery, packaging, printing, or paper-related industries
- A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, International Business, or a related field
- A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a consultative B2B environment
- Strong business acumen with a solid grasp of forecasting, budgeting, and performance metrics
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to interact confidently at all levels
- A hands-on, proactive mindset with a team-oriented approach
- Strong organizational and CRM reporting skills
- Willingness to travel regularly within Indonesia and occasionally across the region
Additional Information
- Possible starting/ onboarding date: As soon as possible
- Reports to: Country Sales Manager
- Working model: Hybrid
- Monthly Gross Salary Range: up to IDR 25.000.000,- (depending on work experience)
