On behalf of our client, a reputable European industrial solutions provider, we are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled (Senior) Service Engineer to join their growing team in Indonesia. You’ll be at the forefront of supporting high-impact pharmaceutical projects globally that require technical excellence, compliance focus, and a passion in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
About the role
As (Senior) Service Engineer, you will support the start-up/ commissioning and troubleshooting of automated water systems used in pharmaceutical production. This is a dynamic, field-based role with high visibility in complex, GMP regulated projects across the region. High travel frequency is required.
Responsibilities
- Execute commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of automated water treatment systems for pharmaceutical clients across the globe (APAC, EUROPE, SOUTH AMERICA, USA, etc.) → Approx. 200+ days/year
- Support automation tasks, including diagnostics and possible PLC programming (primarily with Siemens SIMATIC systems, S7, TIA Portal)
- Ensure systems are operating in full compliance with GMP and other industry regulations
- Provide technical support during system implementation and post-installation phases
- Act as the technical interface on-site, collaborating with local and international engineering teams
- Maintain accurate documentation aligned with pharmaceutical standards and client expectations
- Travel extensively to support client sites globally (200+ days/year)
Your Profile
- Comfortable with high international travel frequency (200+ days/year)
- Prior experience with the startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of industrial systems
- Strong foundation in automation, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Education: Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field
- Familiar with Siemens PLC (SIMATIC, S7, TIA Portal) programming or related troubleshooting
- Understanding of GMP compliance and documentation standards is a strong advantage
- Strong communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in high-pressure environments

- Monthly Gross salary ranges up to IDR 15.000.000 (depending on work experience)
