For our client, a a well-established, mid-sized global company providing specialized industrial solutions we are seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven Managing Director to lead its Southeast Asia operations based in Singapore.

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for a hands-on, results-driven executive leader to lead and oversee various functions for a multi-industry business serving diverse sectors such as Process Manufacturing, Utilities, and Consumer Goods. With full responsibility for the legal entity and regional business performance, the role offers a unique opportunity to drive international growth, transform a well-established team, and shape the strategic direction across multiple key markets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Singapore-based entity with full P&L and legal accountability
  • Drive growth through international sales development with a focus on two regional key markets
  • Oversee all functional areas including sales, service, technical, inside sales/projects, finance, and administration
  • Identify and implement cross-border synergies within the regional organization
  • Champion change and lead transformation initiatives aligned with group strategy
  • Analyze market developments and competitors to identify commercial opportunities
  • Represent the company with customers, strategic partners, government authorities, and internal global functions
  • Collaborate with regional and global leadership to broaden international business impact
  • Lead commercial contract negotiations and ensure sound legal, financial, and operational decisions
  • Ensure effective use of ERP and CRM systems
  • Promote implementation of modern tools and frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with all local and international regulatory requirements

Your Executive profile

Experience

  • Proven track record or recent experience as a Managing Director or General Manager in a B2B industrial environment with full P&L responsibility
  • Minimum 10–15 years of relevant working experience in mentioned industries
  • Solid experience operating across Southeast Asia, particularly in Singapore, and at least two more key markets
  • Strong commercial and sales background, with a keen understanding of market expansion and channel development
  • Background in international matrix organizations with global coordination responsibilities
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and driving transformation across business functions
  • Familiar with complex project management and contract negotiations in technical sales environments

Qualifications & Languages

  • University degree in business, engineering, or related discipline
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (both required); additional regional languages are a plus

Additional Information

Compensation

  • Base Salary: Up to SGD 250,000 per year (depending on experience)
  • Car Allowance: Up tp SGD 1,500 per month (alternatively, company car)
  • Annual Bonus: Up to 25% of base salary (performance-based)
